FAQ’s on Full Dress Rental Service in Ivi Taylor

Renting a dress is easy! When you are in our web site store you can try different styles until you find your perfect dress. Second, reserve your dress and fill the form and web ring you the dress the same day or 2 days before your event and we ask to return the dress 2 days after your event.

A typical rental cost for one item ranges depending on the type of dress and style. We have many items at a variety of price points to fit your budget. We keep our prices low to keep it affordable for you to choose the eco-friendly option.

Dresses can be reserved in-store/showroom up to 6 months in advance, or as last minute as same-day! Full payment of the rental fee reserves your dress for you for the date you plan to wear it. Pick up is 2 days before your event and return is 2 days after your event.

YES! If you live in the Ivi Taylor area (or want to make the trip to see us), you can book a fitting appointment. Reserve up to six months in advance. Done!

Yes! we have an in-house alteration service (Alter to fit). We do hemming, busting, adjusting of shoulder straps and so much more. We only charge a minimal fee (alteration charges starts at 40 AED).

You may cancel or change to a different dress (as long as it’s available) right up to the 1st day of your booking. For cancellations you will receive a store credit, which has no expiry and can be used towards any future rental with us. We do not offer refunds. Please note that store credit applies only to further rentals and cannot be used for accessories or other items for sale.

Yes, we require a 400 AED refundable damage deposit per dress when you pick up the dress.

Yes, we require a 400 AED refundable damage deposit per dress when you pick up the dress.

We offer minor alterations such as hemming and adjust the waist or shoulder straps to make it smaller for a minimal fee (alteration charges starts at 40 EAD). Please let us know if you think your dress needs to be altered. We do not recommend making any alterations on the rental dress. If the dress is returned altered, you will be charged the retail price.

We strongly recommend opting for our Rental Insurance which covers you for small wear and tear issues including small stains, rips, zipper issues, dirt/mud, missing sequins, beads or buttons etc. If you choose not to purchase the rental insurance, you will be charged for any minor repairs needed upon return of the dress, that may cost more than 40 AED. My Rent A Dress has the right to determine whether damages are covered by our rental insurance. The charge will be deducted in the damage deposit. If the dress is lost during your rental period or returned damaged beyond repair you will be charged the full retail price of the dress.

The Rental Insurance covers minor wear and tear issues such as: small rips and stains, broken zippers, buttons or clasps, missing sequins/beads, spill of wine and minimal dirt/mud on the hem.

We clean and steam all the dresses before we send them. If you receive your dress with slight creases- please DO NOT IRON. Please steam it on low heat with a clothes steamer or hang it in your bathroom while you shower, the steam will help remove creases.

Nope – leave that to us! Simply pack up the dress in the dress bag provided and have them return back to us. All dresses are cleaned and inspected upon return.
